This a ready to run model of an HO scale EMD GP-30 diesel powered locomotive lettered for the Reading Railroad in green and yellow Lines paint scheme. Side, front, and rear handrails are all installed painted. Engine has had the motor contacts hard wired. Engine has super bright LED directional headlights.

This locomotive was first released by Athearn in their line of gear drive locomotives as item number 0148/3148 May 1962 and discontinued with release the GP-35 1966. The truck side frames are plastic, and this engine has the later Athearn gear drive with flywheel motor. Engine has been tested and runs smoothly in both directions. Engine is in like new condition with no damage and has Jade knuckle couplets.
