The truck side frames are plastic, and this engine has the smooth Super Geared flywheel drive. Engines both have eight-wheel drive, and electrical pick-up, are DC powered is not DCC ready. Both engines have been hard wired and the A unit has a directional LED headlight. Engines are in the original Athearn blue boxes and marked as item numbers 3249/3250.
